Error installation Pix4D desktop

PIX4Dmapper PIX4Dmapper Questions/Troubleshooting

I have started a 15 days trial of Pix 4D Mapper but I don’t arrive to install Pix4D desktop on my computer. I got the following error (translated from French) :

“Impossible to open this installation package. Verify with your software reseller that this Windows installation package is valid.”

I have the following PC configuration:

  • HP ZBook 15 G4, type x64
  • MS Windows 10 Professionnel
  • Intel Core i7-7700HQ CPU 2.8 HHz, 4 cœurs, 8 logical processors
  • 16 Gb RAM, 7,78 Gb physical memoire available
  • NVIDIA Quadro M1200

I have followed your support article below :

Error: “This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.”

But I still have the same problem. I also try to install on another PC but with the same result. I have no problems to install other softwares on both PC. Please let me know how to do ? Thank you in advance for all help.

Hi Krister,

You seem to have already found the article about your issue. Could you try the following:

  • store the file Pix4Dmapper.msi on a local drive 
  • temporally deactivate the antivirus 
  • check if you computer is up to date.

Yes I found the article about this issue.

I have made a clean up and update of my computer. I also downloaded the Pix4Dmapper file a third time.

Now it works and I have start using the software.

Just a follow up… Windows 8 Pro/Tablet and No anti-virus running (that I can see)
