Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 Won’t Takeoff

I thought I’d share a perplexing issue I ran across yesterday using Pix4D Capture and my Phantom 4 Pro V2.0. I was out surveying a 55 acre pea field for crop damage. After creating the flight plan in Pix4D Capture and uploading it to the aircraft all looked normal. When selecting start mission, I received the message “Taking Off”, however the aircraft did nothing. The propellers didn’t try to turn. My troubleshooting included power cycling the aircraft, remote and tablet, taking the battery…

May I ask if you have followed these basic checks? If properly followed, they will solve most of the issues that can be encountered. For example: make sure the drone is compatible?

If you still have issues, feel free to share the followings for us to have more information to troubleshoot

• Drone’s brand and model
• Camera (if not the default one)
• Mobile device’s brand and model and operating system
• Description of the steps before finding the issue
• Error message content. After which step does it show up? Is the error systematic for all the flights? Screenshots are usually helpful to diagnose the problem.

I ran into the same issue last year. If I remember correctly, their was a small pop up that was coming up but I could not see it in the bright sunshine.
