Hi,
There is an issue with the gimbal lock of the P1 camera. It comes from the DJI. Could you please try to remove the image orientation and let Pix4Dmapper use its algorithms to process the data? Use the Standard Calibration Method and let us know what’s the outcome!
Cheers!
Dear Beata
Thank you your quick reply.
Would you like to tell how to operate ‘remove the image orientation’ ?
Omega, Phi, Kappa ?
I use Standard Calibration Method , I think.
Best Regards.

Hi,
You can export the image geotags and orientation by going to the Image Properties Editor and select To File.
Then select Names, Coordinate, Orientation, Accuracy as shown below.
If you save it, you may be able to remove only the orientation (Omega and Phi to zeros, the Kappa angles should stay) and leave the other values.
Afterwards, load the edited file using From File option.
I hope that it helps!
Dear Beata
Thank you your reply.
Accuracy information deleted, but camera calibrated is succed.
Thank you your help.
And I hope to improve more user-friendly UI in future.
(Zenmuse P1 is latest product, I know.)
Best Regards.

Hi,
I own a prvious version of Pix4D with perpetual use. That said, I need the conversion method I could use to correct the orientation file. Could you explain further?
Visually, it looks like some mirroring issue or switch on the order of omega/phi/kappa.
Thank you,
Julien
Zenmuse P1 v02.04.01.02
Pix4Dmapper v4.7.1
Hasn’t it been modified yet?
Is there a problem with DJI’s support?

Hello,
I own a previous version than 4.7.3, with perpetual use.
Could I know the conversion that I could apply to orientation file?
Thank you,
Julien
Hi Julien,
Version 4.7.3 will resolve this issues. However you can also follow the instruction set forth by Beata for a workaround.
Hi Michael,
I’m OK with the results of my Pix4D version, the software find a good calibration even with wrong orientation values. But I’d like to benefits from that precise positioning with a faster process, and I’m sure there is a way to correct the orientation as it looks like a bad conversion of .exif
Thank you,
Julien
