pix4d desktop crash always after reoptimize (MSVCR120.dll)

Hi, everytime I try to reoptimize after adding GCP on different projects, pix4d desktop crashes. I used other pcs with windows 7 and windows 10 and having the same problem. Ive updated the visual c++ to last versions to see if the MSVCR120.dll was corrupted. I dont know what to do. suggestions?

You will need to submit a ticket to Pix4D support so they can review the log file.

I just did the same thing on multiple projects without any issue so Pix4D can do it but your case has something different that hopefully they can identify.

I have noticed that TeamViewer causes Pix4D to crash frequently…if you have that installed then get rid of it.

Hey Kevin, as Adam said, please submit a support request here.
Send us the log file together with the steps you have followed before receiving the crash.

Does the crash happen every time after following these specific steps?

Cheers,

Hey Adam,

I also use TeamViewer, I am required to use it though. Do you know why TeamViewer is making the Pix4D crash? I have many projects crashed before I never though TeamViewer would have an impact on it? But since you seemed to have good understanding on that. Thanks

Selim,

I certainly don’t understand it but my experience says TeamViewer is causing crashes in Pix4D. My one desktop had various other software on it when it was crashing so I wasn’t sure the cause.  Once I re-installed a fresh Win10 without ANY additional software then Pix4D ran perfectly, zero crashes.  Once I installed TeamViewer a couple weeks down the road, all of a sudden I was getting 2-3 crashes per week.  Now that TeamViewer is back off the machine, I just get the rare crash that is usually super high detail work that I should be running on my new Core i9 machine only.

There certainly could be something besides TeamViewer causing the issue as my test is just one case…but I would recommend anybody having hard crash issues to first remove TeamViewer and second re-install Win10 fresh.

Hey Adam,

Thank you for your insight, it is a very interesting though. I will definitely give your suggestion a try if frequent crashing happens.

If you are not able to find the dll file then download MSVCR120.dllfile and then you install the file easily after that you have to set the dll file address in the system.
