Orthomosaic will not export correctly.

I am having an issue when I go to export the GeoTiff file. I upload all my photos into my project. Then from there I set my Horizontal and Vertical coordinate system to the correct location where my project is located. I make sure the camera data is using the correct reference system as well. Then I upload all the GCPs to the file and make sure I mark locations in some photos for each GCP. Then I go to process all my data and everything seems to go fine. Then the issue arises when I go to export the tiff file.

When I hover my mouse over the map the northing and eastings all look correct for my project location. But when I export my tiff file it is not exporting with the correct coordinate system. It is miles away from the project location. I notice this when I go to import these images into my Microstation drawings as it shows the location as not being correct.

I also noticed on a separate project, when I bring in my photos and do not update the reference coordinate system and use what the program defaulted to. The tiff is exported, and the coordinate system is correct.

So, I am trying to see if using the correct coordinate system and GCPs is messing up the tiff file? Is anyone else having this issue? And how do I get the tiff to export with the location if I am using GCPs, which I am assuming increases the accuracy? This seems to be a major issue that needs addressed.

I currently have version 1.63.0

Hello,

Thank you for bringing this up.

Alongside the .tiff file, PIX4Dmatic generates a .prj file which is the coordinate reference system file. Can you please double-check that you have such a file in the same folder as the orthomosaic and import that into the third-party software?

Let me know how this goes.
