app keeps crashing on my gpu, installed latest drivers, even tested beta editions, reinstalled Pix4D, done a full syscheck, but no luck.

Hello Serhan,

We have noticed an issue with some AMD GPU drivers. Version 14.4 works, so you should install this one:

  1. Uninstall the AMD dirvers: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/GPU57RemoveOldGraphicsDrivers.aspx

  2. Use Display Driver uninstaller to remove the drivers completely: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Important you need to restart you computer in safe mode before using the DDU uninstaller.  For example on Windows 7 here is the procedure:

I have followed the steps above but still have the same issue.

This is the newest version of Pix4D 2.0.80

Hi Daine,

There was a bug in the version 2.0.80 of Pix4Dmapper and AMD/ATI GPU which makes the software crash when opening a project, manipulating the point cloud, etc.

The bug is fixed in the version 2.0.81 that was just released. You can download it from here:

Please install the version 2.0.81 and don’t hesitate to let us know if the crash persists.

We’re using Trial version of 2.0.81 on 16GB RAM, QC i7 5700, Super RAID SSD and GTX 780 Card and crashing when attempting to load the template project that comes with the software.  Thoughts?

If I understand well, the software crashes while the project is loaded (before you start the processing).
