Add local Geoid Models in Pix4D Mapper

Dear Support,

I am also a professional Land Surveyor located in Colorado. Do you have plans to add geoid 18 to the software functionality in the near future?

Hi Chris,
PIX4Dmapper only allows for three global geoids of EGM 84, EGM 96, EGM 2008, and the GRS 1980 Ellipsoid. If you know the offset from geoid 18 to the GRS 1980 ellipsoid you can add it.

You might want to take a closer look at PIX4Dmatic. Matic does support geoid 18.

I am sorry but there are no plans for Mapper to support geoid 18.

Is there any formal traing for PIX4d Matic? I started to poke around but got a little discouraged trying to figure it out.

We have begun to offer a combined PIX4Dmatic and PIX4Dsurvey virtual class. I would suggest going to https://training.pix4d.com/ and click on the “contact us” at the bottom. One of our trainers can give you more details when the next class will be offered.
