Can anyone tell me how to write a tiff file from a standard camera that can be read into pix4D?

Could you please give me more details about what do you want to achieve? Your images completely lack exif data?
To write the EXIF you could use higher-level libraries like exiv2.
As per the tags that are necessary for us to correctly read your images you can find themhere.
