Will Anzu Robotics drones be supported by Pix4D?

Seeing news that Austin, TX based Anzu Robotics will be using DJI licensed hardware with American made software.

Curious to know if photos should import into Pix4D naturally, or whether software will have to be updated to use them.

@leonard if they have the right EXIF/XMP tags in their images, it should automatically be compatible. The list of tags is available here: https://support.pix4d.com/hc/en-us/articles/205732309-EXIF-and-XMP-tag-information-for-project-creation

If you have a few images, you can try to drag & drop them into PIX4Dmatic and see if it’s already compatible. There may be warning messages if something is missing, which will inform you about which tags may need to be added.

Note that in any case, there is the “camera internals” setting in PIX4Dmatic, in the Cameras bottom panel, where you can add the camera parameters manually too, in order to create the camera model (it can be saved as well).

If you have a contact at Anzu Robotics, you could always reach out to them with the link above to ask for compatibility.

Seems DroneDeploy has native support now. Any updates on Pix4D?

EDIT - Almost immediately after posting this I see that they are now trying to tie Anzu to the DJI ban. Can’t win.

The format of the EXIF info is basically identical to the Mavic3 which is supported by Pix4D. Any chance that it will get picked up in the supported drone list soon?
