Thermal Orthomosaic Temperature Values

Hello,

When working with the thermal orthomosaics outputted from Pix4D (R-JPG), I am curious what the unit of temperature is for these stitched images. It was my understanding the images are in Celsius, but I want to verify this is the case because there is such a large range of values captured.

Hi Joe,

Not all of the thermal cameras supply absolute temperature so what you are looking at could be just the reflectance and not the temperature.

Anyway, for some thermal cameras, the units can be selected in the camera settings.
