Hi. I have notice in Pix4D survey it is lagging and the 3D view is a total mess. I have adjusted the point sizes. Why can’t the software display point cloud size in optimal view like before. Also, exporting Tin Tiff files has been taking a long time.
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. During the last months we were working to improve the performance of the 3D view. You can try the last stable release 1.76, for instance, we would be interested to hear your feedback.
Kind regards,
Alexey
Hi,
we have similar issues with the 1.76 version of Pix4Dsurvey. While digitizing itself seems to perform as before, the saving of a polyline (right click with mouse) takes a couple of seconds which is very annoying. We also think that the camera movement with the mouse is different than before: Zooming in seems to zoom further than before, meaning it is very hard to zoom in to the correct location. Moving the camera around while holding the right mouse button down has a very strange behaviour as well. Hope these issues are resolved in future stable releases.
Kind regards,
Andy
Hello Andreas,
Thank you for your message.
We are looking into the slowdown when saving geometries.
For the different camera behavior, do you see “Convert point clouds” option in the “Processes” panel as shown below?

If you see this option then could you run the conversion operation and check if the camera behavior improves, please?
Kind regards,
Alexey
Hi @alexey,
I have updated the software to 1.85. Its buggy. The filtering terrain process takes forever. It doesn’t interpolate the terrain around border areas properly.
DTM gets a huge black hole and doesn’t interpolate under a shed. I am not sure why sheds even though are non-terrain doesn’t get interpolated when i try to generate DTM.
Hello rayavarapunani,
I sincerely apologize for the delay in my reply.
If you haven’t done so already, please reach out to our support team. They will likely need you to share your log files and potentially some example datasets to troubleshoot the issue effectively.
Kind regards,
Alexey
