Hi,
I’ve been trying to look for a Pix4D support email to send this query but so far I haven’t found any. Anyway, please let us know what is the recommended system specifications for Pix4Dmapper to process lidar / photogrammetry data that ranges in size from 5-10 GB to generate high resolution terrain data / volume reports in around 30 mins to 1 hour without crashing?
Current System Configuration:
OS Name Microsoft Windows 11 Pro
Version 10.0.26100 Build 26100
System Manufacturer Acer
System Model Predator PH16-72
System Type x64-based PC
Processor Intel(R) Core™ i9-14900HX, 2200 Mhz, 24 Core(s), 32 Logical Processor(s)
Storage 1TB SSD
GPU GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 32.0 GB
Total Virtual Memory 70.9 GB
Please refer to the below references in relation to the processing of lidar & photogrammetric data in order to not have to upgrade hardware specifications immediately / within 2-3 years.

The liDAR hardware/software used as well as the data sizes were not indicated in his query but he mentioned that their internal server is already running with 32 cores and 128GB RAM and they have already outgrown it (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/2146219/i-need-help-increasing-the-size-of-my-current-vm).

The drone data processing is faster with Pix4Dmatic versus Pix4Dmapper (https://support.pix4d.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408702135069).

LiDAR data is processed according to the following Pix4Dmapper reference “How to import a Point Cloud delivered by an External Source into PIX4Dmapper for processing” (https://support.pix4d.com/hc/en-us/articles/202560049)
Thanks.
