I am trying out Pix4DMatic (1.38) trial on a 750ha property composed of around 10800 images (around 80% overlap). I got a “good” alignment, with only images in dense forest patches not calibrated (246 images). I tried several other alignment methods but the best was “large scale and corridor, sclable standard, 1/1, Auto and High”. Used 19 GCPs collected with RTK. Densification was great, except over the uncalibrated patches, as expected. What I did not expect was not to find a way to “clean up” my point clouds since the uncalibrated portions showed me strange vertical point clouds. Since I didn´t have a way to clean that up, the next step - DSM - also showed high outlier regions on those uncalibrated portions of forest cover. However, the last step - Orthomosaic, is crashing without reason! I thought it could be due to the high resolution DSM but even after reprocessing at 20cm resolution, the orthomosaic still crashes around 6% processing. Any clue on how to get the orthomosaic processed?
