Pix4Dmapper shutdown when displaying Mosaic Editor

Pix4Dmapper v4.8.2, the program shuts down when running Mosaic Editor.
What can go wrong?
Thank you.

Hi @cwang ,

Let’s do some basic checks:

  • Is the GPU driver updated?
  • Does the computer meet the hardware requirement?
  • Try ensuring there is no other software that consumes the hardware heavily and only have PIX4Dmapper open to see if it helps.
  • Ensure there is no anti-virus software interfering with PIX4Dmapper.

If none of these helps, could you please share the log file? Any screenshots would also be very helpful.

Looking forward to your reply if you still need assistance with this.

Best regards,

The {ix4Dmapper always ended at “Loading orthomosaic [group1]”. Please see the log file.
Thank you for your assistance.

Hi @chwang ,

I am sorry it took me some time to come back to this. The good news is there is no error message in the log file.

However, is the log file the latest one? Because the log file still shows the GPU driver is outdated.

I believe this is the latest driver version for your GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU

Could you also use the latest stable version (v4.7.5) available for your license? You can download v4.7.5 here: Technical release notes - PIX4Dmapper

Please let me know if updating the GPU driver and using the stable version help with opening the Mosaic Editor.

If you are still having issues, please share the latest log file.

Hi chwang,
All educational licenses now receive unlimited support and upgrades. I suggest doing a complete uninstall of Mapper. This includes deleting some file in the registry. The instructions are below.

After you uninstall Mapper, you can install the latest version. The download link is below.

Thank you for the follow-up.
The problem was solved after updating to 4.8.4.
