Hi,
Is it possible to load KML files in the PiX4D capture app?
We need KML files as reference to prepare flight planning in the app.

It’s now July 2020. Has any progress been made on introducing the ability to load a KML file to help create mapping mission borders and plans? If not, will it be?? It would ESPECIALLY help for larger missions when multiple smaller missions need to be created (due to inability for the Controller to load large Mapping Missions on Drone ; ie Upload Failure). Just an idea!
Hi,
Thank you for sharing the idea with us. We truly appreciate it. In this article: https://support.pix4d.com/hc/en-us/articles/218051003 we describe what is currently possible to do with Pix4DCapture. There we describe how to create a .kml/.kmz file with Google Earth Pro and how to make it available in the app in order to plan a flight.
Kind regards,
Thanks. Just confirming, this applies to Android devices only; correct? If so, will an iOS solution exist soon?
Thanks in advance.
Hey,
You are right this is only for Android, and regarding this feature, this is not in our roadmap for this year. If new features come to Pix4Dcapture we will notify our users here: https://support.pix4d.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000240783-Android-Pix4Dcapture-release-notes
