.kml /kmz Import IOS

Hi Support team,
I’m currently using “Drone Deploy” to plan my flights. My client works in West Africa and I often get request to fly areas that have poor image
coverage (See below). I would love to change to Pix4D, but the lack of KMZ import is a major issue for me.
Regards Paul

Hi Paul,

Thank you for your feedback and your interest in Pix4D, we appreciate it.

A thread has been opened with a similar topic and I would suggest you follow it as we will communicate on this main thread any updates about the ability to import a .kmz/.kml file on the iOS version of Pix4Dcapture. The last comment from us is from the 12.11.2018 and status has not changed since then.

In the meantime, I would suggest the following workaround:

  • Set a custom map provider like Google Maps. This community post and this comment describe how to proceed.
  • Use the Android version of Pix4Dcapture where importing a .kml/.kmz file is possible. Procedure here.

In order to keep information easy to search for our users, I will close this post for comment.
