Launching From Elevated Location

Hello Pix4D Community,

 

I will be flying a site where my launch location is 75’ above ground level.  If I set my mission to fly at 150’, will it take into account my launch location and it’s 75’ positive elevation?  Or Do I plan the mission for 75’ and when I launch from the elevation location, it will only go up 75’ (total of 150’ above ground level).

Hi Peter,

It can be confusing but the Flight height set in Pix4Dcapture is above the takeoff point of your drone. It does not take into account the elevation of the terrain.
In your case, you will have to set the flight height to 75’, then in total, you will be 150’ above the surface you would like to map.
