This would allow for a workaround to the issue of not being able to select a coordinate system in Matic without GCPs. It would also help with previous Mapper Projects that I want to reprocess in Matic as one file vs several smaller files.
Hi @Chris_Putnam,
This would allow for a workaround to the issue of not being able to select a coordinate system in Matic without GCPs
I’m not sure I understand your comment. You do not need GCPs to set the coordinate reference system (CRS) of a project. There is a “*” saying that the “project CRS derives from the GCP CRS”, i.e. if you modify the GCP CRS, the one of the project will be changed too, even if there are no GCPs. You can double check the CRS that was set for the project in the bottom left corner of a project. Does this answer your need? Note: this enables the selection of Geoids for all the RTK projects and results in more accurate data.
It would also help with previous Mapper Projects that I want to reprocess in Matic as one file vs several smaller files.
Can you please elaborate on this? Are you referring to the “merging projects” workflow from PIX4Dmapper? Why would you like to reprocess them in PIX4Dmatic?
We should have good news for importing PIX4Dmapper files into PIX4Dmatic later this year.
Thanks for the info!
Hi! Any news on mapper - matic project import?
@Gyula_Solyom not yet. Can you elaborate on why you’d like to proceed with that workflow? This will help to understand in which cases this will be useful.
