How can I upload a DTM from Survey to Cloud Advanced to online share and work with it?

Hello,

I have a question regarding the workflow between Pix4Dmatic, Pix4Dsurvey, and Pix4Dcloud Advanced.

My typical process is:

  1. Generate the project and point cloud in Pix4Dmatic.

  2. Import the point cloud into Pix4Dsurvey and clean it (removing man-made objects, classifying, etc.) to create a proper DTM.

What I would like to achieve is the following:
I want to upload the entire project with the cleaned results (DTM /TIN, orthophoto, point cloud, and the images [inspect function has to work, too!) into Pix4Dcloud Advanced.

My questions are:

  • Is this possible directly from Pix4Dsurvey, or must the DTM be reimported into Pix4Dmatic first? From Survey I can only upload a Pointcloud to the cloud…. no images, no TIN….

  • If it only works through Matic, what is the correct step-by-step workflow to upload all results (including the cleaned DTM and all images in order to have the inspection function, too!!) into the cloud? Please provide a solution here.

I have licenses for all three products, so I am mainly looking for the most efficient and recommended workflow.

Thank you for your inquiry.

At the moment, this workflow is not supported. However, we are actively working on improving interoperability between Pix4D products to allow for easier dataset exchange.

While I cannot provide a specific delivery date, we expect this functionality to become available most probably sometime in 2026.
