ERROR WHEN IMPORT IMAGE FROM RAINPOO CAMERA

PIX4Dmatic can’t read EXIF information of images from Rainpoo camera (DG4M2). Can you guys have me check?

Hi @chung.bm,

Thank you for your question and for sharing the screenshot.
Also, welcome to the Pix4D Community.

Please note that images, in order to be able to be processed with PIX4Dmatic, need to have some mandatory EXIF/XMP tags.
You can find the entire list here:

Please verify that your images contain all the mandatory EXIF/XMP tags.

If this is the case, please send us the logs of PIX4Dmatic.

Cheers,
Daniele

Because, these images, which I could import to Pix4D mapper, but with the same image, it can’t import to Pix4D maxtic. Even though, the image already have metadata.

Hi Chung Bui Minh,

PIX4Dmapper and PIX4Dmatic have different requirements for image tagging. I would suspect that this drone tags images with omega/phi/kappa camera parameters as opposed to yaw/pitch/roll that PIX4Dmatic supports. You can confirm this by using any EXIF tag reader. If this is the case, you will have to manually convert the values from omega,/phi/kappa to yaw/pitch/roll.

Hi @chung.bm,
I am Bin, the technical support engineer from Rainpoo.
This is a known issue that we will address in the near future by upgrading the camera’s firmware.
For more information on how to upgrade the firmware or if you have other technical questions, please feel free to discuss via email at my email address ice@rainpoo.com.

Hello Mr. chung.bm
We’ve fixed that problem, so please contact me at my email address ice@riebo.com. Have a nice day.

Hi @chung.bm ,

If the image is missing an EXIF tag, the camera manufacturer can help to provide this information.
If you are still having issues, please share 2 to 3 images for me to check the EXIF tags and also the log file of this project.

Best,
Rosana (she/her)
