We flew over 50 flights over agricultural fields (mostly orchards and some vineyards) and despite having high overlap (75%-80% side and front), flying at 100-120m, flying at 10 m/s or less, we keep seeing what we are deeming a ‘phantom canopy’ effect in all final geotiffs. The bubble we are seeing around the tree canopy matshes with the DSM, so we believe this effect is caused when the orthomosaic and DSM are fused. Is there a way to stop this from happening?
