Distorted Ray Cloud and Uncalibrated Images

What causes this? I processed this file the other day and I did not have this problem. Unfortunately I accidentally did an overwrite on the old file so I dont have the data to refer back to…

Hi @msmith

It’s good to see you back!

May I ask if the images were all taken at the same flight height?
I also notice the keypoints image scale was set at 1/8.
I would suggest 1/2 keypoints image scale. However, it could be time-consuming as the dataset is quite large. If you would like to see if it works better with 1/2 keypoints image scale, feel free to try it first by halving the dataset or try with just a quarter of the dataset.

This article also provides information about the uncalibrated camera: Initial Processing: Low number of calibrated images

The last thing I noticed is that based on the flight path it seems like a free flight mission. If this is the case, you may also try setting the Advanced: Matching Image Pairs to Free flight or terrestrial. For more information on the free flight/terrestrial: Menu Process > Processing Options… > 1. Initial Processing > Matching

Sincerely,
Rosana (she/her)
