Desktop app will not start

Hi,

I am unable to start P4D desktop app on either of my Windows10 machines as of today.

I have tried repair and re-install with latest stable version.

I would suggest the following:

  1. In the Search Windows type, type program and select Add or remove programs in the Settings list.
  2. Scroll to find Pix4D Desktop and click the application.
  3. Click Uninstall.

Sometimes, there are leftovers folders. Please check that the files below do not exist: 

  1. On the path where Pix4D desktop (Pix4Dmapper) is installed: C:\Program Files\Pix4Dmapper make sure this folder does not exist anymore. If it exists, DELETE this Pix4Dmapper folder.
  2. On the following path: C:\Users\pix4d\AppData\Local\pix4d make sure this folder does not exist anymore. If it exists, DELETE this Pix4Dmapper folder.
  3. C:\Users\pix4d\Documents\pix4dmapper make sure this folder does not exist anymore. If it exists, DELETE this Pix4Dmapper folder.
  4. On windows the search bar type: regedit and then search for the folder stored in the path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\pix4d and make sure this folder does not exist anymore. If it exists, DELETE this Pix4Dmapper folder.
  5. Restart the computer. 

Then proceed to re-installation.

Let me know how it goes.

Same thing here too. With 3 win 10 PC’s.

This seems to happen every time when license goes old.

Hi Matti, could you please provide more information: the software version that you currently have installed, the version that you had previously, is the program crashing or do you get an error message?

I am working with the latest version of Pix4D Desktop 4.5.6. I did the uninstall and reinstall and am still not getting the program to load. any suggestions.

This is just happened to me on vers. 4.6.4 of Pix4D Mapper desktop version. I tried the uninstall and reinstall and it still is not working. Just the initial splash screen appears showing the app name and says “Creating Application…” and then disappears but with no software loading.

As stated in the other post, please try to uninstall and reinstall Pix4Dmapper completely and, if you are using an NVIDIA graphics card, update to the latest driver version.

Hello seems that have the same problem Pix4D is not starting.
I have already updated the Nvidia drives and completely uninstall Pix4D Mapper.

But still the problem exists.

Thank you for the message provided.
It seems the problem is connected with the faulty ucrtbase.dll file.
If you know how to repair a Windows DLL (ucrtbase.dll in this case) and you are confident with the procedure, you can proceed with this. Otherwise, you need to reinstall Windows operating system.
Unfortunately, this is outside of our control.

Did you try to completely uninstall PIX4Dmapper and then install it again?

Also, if you are using an NVIDIA graphics card, update it to the latest driver version.

Please let me know how it goes.

Have tryed to fix Windows register, stop antivirus and firewall, deleted GDAL libraries. Still same problem with Pix4D. Other soft works well

And off course I reinstallet it several times with diff versions
