There are indeed connection issues with the app. It seems to be related to some devices or Android version of the phone. It is difficult for us to investigate this bug since we cannot reproduce it with the devices that we use for testing.
We have recently released the beta 2.0.8 and updated the DJI SDK hoping that it would improve the connectivity. Unfortunately it seems that the problem is not resolved.
Let us know on our dedicated forum post for the beta 2.0.8 what setup you are using (drone, drone firmware, device brand, model and Android version) and which version of the app works or not:
