I am using the Sony DSC-RX1RM2 camera. When I create a project, I notice that many camera parameters are already specified, including a calibrated focal length and distortion parameters. Where does this focal length (32.7959) come from? Is it read from the EXIF information? Or does Pix4D Mapper has an internal database of pre-calibrated focal lengths for some cameras?
Hi @trvrsmth, for this specific camera, Pix4D performed a calibration and included the parameters in the internal camera database.
If the camera would not be added to the internal database then the approximate values are taken from the EXIF.
