Indeed, the behavior changed in one of the previous releases and the Start/Finish point is now adjusted so that it is as close as possible to the location of the drone.
Keep in mind that you will only be able to observe this behavior when the drone is actually turned on and the GPS signal is received.
One of the reasons is that, when doing circular missions around tall objects, the drone could hit the object when returning home if the Start/End point would be placed on the opposite side of the user location.
That’s mean, if my location at the yellow triangle and take off on that point. the drone will go to the red rectangle and do the circular mission. after that it will end on the rectangle and come back to me at yellow triangle. i can ignore the start/end position on the app. Am i right?
Hello, thank you for sharing a screenshot of your circular mission. Based on your screenshot we believe that your understanding is correct:
Take off and ascend to 50 meters above the yellow triangle.
Fly directly to the red square.
Start the mission which ends close to the red square.
Fly directly to the yellow triangle.
Descend until the drone lands, or you take over manual control.
Keep in mind that you will only be able to observe this behavior when the drone is actually turned on and the GPS signal is received. If you plan a mission in the office and the position of the drone is not available, then the Start/End point will be facing towards the 0,0 location (Null Island).
I have confuse about the closest to pilot’s location. as the picture below the closest start/end should be the red rectangle when i going to work on the field right? (I do the planing in the office without drone connection)
by the way, For me the manually start/end is prefer caz i can do the planing in the office and make the fast process on the field.
