I was asked today if anyone had ever used Pix4D for weed detection, such as Japanese Knot Weed. I have never seen anything on the web to say this is even possible, so thought I would ask here. Anyone had any experience of doing this? If so, how?

I’ve had good luck identifying weeds in fields with bare soil, not so much when a crop is present. We tried to identify soy wheat unsuccessfully.
If your invasive species is easily identifiable with the naked eye, you can mess with the numbers in the NDVI menu until you find the right threshold. Otherwise, my opinion is that we’ll need to some some dramatic advancements in sensor technology before this is possible with little manual involvement.
