Hi,
I am trying to perform the radiometric calibration to UAV images captured using Parrot SEQUOIA+ Multispectral Sensor. I am using the MicaSense calibrated reflectance panel. For some reason, the pix4dmapper does not detect the calibration panel and does not retrieve the reflectance factor. Although, I try to do manually the output does not come correctly i.e., no calibration or incorrect calibration was performed.
Any suggestions or supports are highly appreciated.
Thanks
HI,
If you are using a sequoia+, it does not need a reflectance panel as it gives absolute reflectance values already.
You can read this article on how to import target images if you still want to import them:
If you do it manually, you will have to introduce the reflectance factor for each band.
Best,
You could also test PIX4Dfields our Ag. specialized product, we have now added access to satellite images and many new features are coming.
Hi Jose,
Thank you very much for your support. I am using Sequoia_4.0_1280x960 sensor. It has four bands and an RGB camera. Could you please provide any link or document where I can refer to and also cite in my manuscript.
I appreciate you response.
Thank you
Hi Jose,
I was looking at Pix4DFields. It looks amazing to me. I also downloaded the trial version to understand its capabilities but unfortunately, I am not able to export the processed result to check if the calibration was performed correctly or not. Could you please help me to get a trial version with full functionality? If it workout for me then we can buy the licence for it.
Thanks
Hi,
Great I will DM you.
Best,
José
Thank you, Jose.
Hello Jose,
I installed the 15-day version of Pix4Dfields software. Could you please help me to get a trial version with full functionality? If it works for me, we can buy the license. Where are the settings of the radiometric correction located in this version of Pix4Dfields? Can I do the corrections using the Sentera 6X Reflectance Panel?
Regards,
Stanislaw
Hi Stanislaw,
Under Processing options menu, go to Advanced settings and from there, Radiometric correction can be turned on.
The Sentera panel will be automatically detected by PIX4Dfields, you will see a confirmation on the left side menu after importing the images.
I will generate a private ticket so we discuss about the trial functionalities extension.
José
Hi José,
Thank you. Okay, please let me know about about the trial functionalities extension.
Stanislaw
Hi José,
Does it mean that to do the radiometric correction, I should turn on the radiometric option then import a single best picture of the calibration panel together with the hundreds of the other crop pictures?
Stanislaw
Hi José,
Thank you.
Should I turn on the radiometric option to do the radiometric correction and then import a single best picture of the calibration panel together with the hundreds of other crop pictures?
Okay, please let me know about the trial functionalities extension.
Stanislaw
Hi,
Correct there is no extra work to do, just import the images together with the drone ones.
Best,
José
@Jose.Arnaudo I am in the prosses of purchasing a Mavic 3 Multispectral and will be flying fields soon. After reviewing the information and videos, it seems I would need the Airinov Aircalib Target to best calibrate my images. I have been through the internet and seem not to be able to find this product. Do you have any suggestions on where to find this calibration target? Please know that I will be flying the same fields throughout the year. Thanks for your help in advance!
Hi,
unfortunately we don’t have any suggestion on where to buy them. You can reach out to Sentera as well https://sentera.shop/products/reflectance-panel.
