Hola! un gusto saludarles, tengo algunas dudas con las cámaras modificadas para obtener NDVI como la Canon S110 NIR:
A lo que miro las bandas se traslapan unas a otras, eso quiere decir que los productos que salgan de allí son muy pocos serios e inexactos?
Por ejemplo un NDVI calculado a partir de esa cámara es realmente inexacto y poco creíble? ya que al solaparse unas bandas con otras, variaciones sutiles o específicas en el vegetal es posible no sean detectadas?
Indeed when you are using a modified camera since the bands are wide the NIR can get contaminated with red and the other way around. You can see a full comparison in results from a multispectral (narrow bands) sensor and a modified sensor here:
When working with common or modified cameras, keep in mind that they are probably not designed for radiometric fidelity. They can still be used with Pix4Dmapper and give you useful results provided that you perform some pre-processing to the images before importing them into our software. For example, you should correct for vignetting, dark current, etc., which requires having access to the .RAW images files.
En el caso de Mapir3? veo que las bandas son estrellas y posee panel de calibración:
En el caso de Mapir3, observo que las bandas son estrechas tal como me comentas y además usa panel de calibración radiométrica, en ese caso esta cámara Mapir3 puede ser mas exacta y confiable dado que sus bandas son estrechas y además sus imágenes pueden ser corregidas radiométricamente con su panel de calibración?
Me parece que las bandas son estrechas y que además hace corrección radiométrica con su panel de calibración, en ese caso los valores de NDVI son mas precisos y exactos?
Yes, you can process Mapir Survey 3 imagery using our software but since it is a modified camera you will have to correctly set the weight of band before processing. You can find the instructionshere.
As per the calibration target, you could use it as a calibration target for radiometric corrections in the software or I see that you could use it for post-processing in MCC. If you use it in our software then you should pick the one that has the profile closer to the reflectance you expect in your field.
