Request to have queue function for several projects

Hi,
Highly suggest to add a queue functions for several process for overnight.

For example, some of my project are muti bands and have 3000 images.

I can set process RGB first after that, do the RGB themself,
Then run another project.

My project has cost several hours to process. The worst thing is I have to start to process the RGN again and wait another several hours.
If it can continue to run, a over night can run several projects to be ready.

Please. Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing the feedback with us. Truly appreciated.
Adding the feature request here will give more visibility for other users, and therefore vote if they also would need this.

Sincerely,

A queue would be wonderful so I could utilize time out of the office to process imagery. I would also be nice if I could open another project to view the results while one is processing. Maybe tabs like a web browser or being able to leave the current project and open another while it is working.

New user here, I was looking to make a feature request for this exact thing. I noticed this post is over 2 years old, so I take it that no progress has been made towards implementing this feature.
I would really like to see a batch processing feature, or a Project Processing Queue implemented. I often have dozens of fields I have to process maps for and each one has to be run separately. This means I have to hover around the computer all day waiting to run the next job instead of being out in the field making money.

Hi Chris,
The feature is on our road map, but not on the short term. Next year we want to focus rather on the development of new data analysis tools than on process automation.
Have a great day.

Never bother. I gave them a bunch of good advice. None of them Pix4D really do it or even think about that.
Most of them are easy and great improve for the software. They just don’t care.

Hello,
I was wondering what your road map is. What new features can we expect in the future? Because a feature like a Queue would have more value in my company than a new analysis feature. And also I would like to know how the program will improve in the future.

Hi, thank you for your comment.

We understand this is an exciting feature. Unfortunately, we need to prioritize our features according to market needs and we do care about customer feedback.

Following this trend, we recently added the following:

Where else are you doing market needs research, if not here ? In other words, where do I need to go and make noise for the Fields development team to hear me ?

Maybe you can regularly share the development roadmap for the next couple of releases so users have some idea what’s in the pipeline. Currently the only visibility is after the fact with release notes.

You have a great product with a loyal user base, how about actively engaging with your users ?

We are very interested in what you write here, and it influences our roadmap decisions.
The product team triages feature requests based on their potential business impact on PIX4D’s success, which usually aligns with customer goals.

This request would require a business model change for PIX4Dfields, a desktop software aimed at small to medium-sized companies and individual users, as mass batch processing is a separate product—PIX4Dengine.

That being said, our goal is 100% to move the tool in a direction that makes it easier for our heavy users to operate their businesses at scale. By the end of next year, we will have a very different discussion—it just takes that long, unfortunately.

Please keep engaging with us here, we read every post you do.
