I’m working on a project, and will need to take a set of points (x,y,z) and import them into Carlson Survey. My point cloud is currently over 4million points and need to really trim that down to something manageable. (Roughly speaking, 1 point every 10’ or so) I’ve been looking and can’t really find any resources to help me achieve this. Attached is the screenshot of the project, to get an idea of what I’m working with.
What would be the best way to go about doing, what I’m trying to achieve?
Use CloudCompare. Crop and subsample the needed points
