Hey there,
I’m starting a drone surveying business using NDVI and creating variable rate maps.
I’ve been looking into Pix4Dfields quite abit and playing around with the software/using the free trials.
I was just wondering with the operations side of things, instead of putting in litres per ha, or kgs for the different zones, can you put in a percentage rate/multiplier instead ? Eg- 80%, 100%, 120%
If that isn’t available to do the percentages, can I still download it and let the client put in their desired rate?
Thanks
Hi, it’s great you are starting your business.
There’s no percentage option to adjust the rates; you will need to quickly calculate the final rate for each zone and introduce it to the PIX4fields operation.
The customer will need a GIS platform to update the prescription file (like QGIS).
Thanks for that,
For this business I cant legally be putting rates (lpha) in for there maps as I am not an agronomist and can get sued. I need to be able to give them a multiplier rate eg- 80%, 100% and 120% then they can put in whatever rate they desire into the screen. If Pix4Dfields dont offer this, Im going to have to move my business through a different software that can
If the agronomist provides the rates, you should not have any issue adding them to a prescription. We have never heard of any problem.
You can leave the rates at 0 and share a PDF report of the Operation with the agronomist.
Then they can add the raters on their side.
