Points that are out of view are added to the selection

Points that are excluded from view are added to the selection. In my opinion, only points that are currently on should be taken into the selection, as in Pix4Dmapper.

Hi @mwywial,

Thank you for the feedback and the short video. This is really helpful.
In general, any action should be applied only to the visible points.

I will share this information with the product team.

Thank you again, and have a great day.

Cheers,
Daniele.

Daniele,

do you have any feedback from your team? It’s been a few months now, several new versions, and the error still occurs.

Hi,

The product team discussed this feedback in the past and the conclusion at the time was that selection was allowed but actions (like deleting) can’t affect a hidden point.
We recently opened the discussion again, in order to improve the behavior, but we are curious to understand if the current scenario is affecting your workflow somehow or if you just feel that it doesn’t make sense and it is an inconsistency. I ask this because before taking actions we normally try to evaluate multiple workflows and how they might be affected by the changes.
Thank you again for your feedback and your time.

Best,
Diana

Hi @diana.araujo !
I recently came across an example where I wanted to remove trees from a point cloud (leaving buildings). I turned off the ground group and wanted to select only the objects I wanted to remove. What was my surprise that by removing the points, being trees, I got rid of most of the points on the ground class (which I did not want to remove).
