Pix4Dsurvey 1.1 is out!
With our upgraded fast vectorization tool, you are now able to:
- separate terrain and non-terrain point cloud points, and display the result
- create and export an evenly spaced grid of points
- remove individual points or a group of points and start vectorizing in a cleaner point cloud
- seamlessly import processed Pix4Dmatic projects
and more!

And of course, it won’t stop there. We’ve got a lot of plans and want to make sure we produce what you need. I’m open to all feedback, either here or in the Feature Request page or any other way you like! So, please try it out and see how it goes. If you need something, just let us know!

Awesome tool! I did notice one major flaw though: when I create a point grid from terrain, I am unable to delete selected points manually. Sometimes there’s a stray point that’s too high or too low and that messes up the TIN. Am I missing something or is it just not possible? In case the latter is true: feature request!
Hi @Jan_Theeven!
Yes, you are right, and we should add the ability to remove a grid of points member shortly. At the moment you need to go to the problem point, remove the point cloud point that is the source of the “bad” grid point, then regenerate the grid and TIN. Not ideal, I know, but watch for the next preview of Pix4Dsurvey.
thanks,
Nate

Awesome Manual addition of points, rather than just manual deletion of points, would be very nice too
You can do that already (indirectly) by making a layer a terrain layer, and adding the markers that you need there - that will then be included in the TIN with the same weight as the parts of the grid of points. Those terrain layers give you breaklines too, if you need a hard edge in the TIN.
