Is it normal to have a point cloud extend outside of the desired mapping area (as seen in the attached picture)? This project is a combination of 3 nadir and 2 oblique flights. The 3D mesh is looking like a big blob, even through the point cloud looks pretty good.
Yes it is expected when you have oblique imagery. Indeed Pix4Dmapper reconstructs all the information it can extract for the images. With oblique dataset a lot of background is captured this is why you can see points beyond the boundaries of the area you are interested in.
