PIX4Dmatic: export/import function for region of interest (2)

Hello all,

In Pix4D Mapper we had the option to export/import a region of interest. This was very helpful for construction projects where we fly regularly to always have the same processing area displayed.

Please implement this feature in future versions of PIX4Dmatic. Thank you very much! Best, Manu

In the meantime, we have found a workflow via Google Earth: Open Google earth, draw a polygon to represent the region of interest. Export this polygon as a *.kml file. Then import this file in Matic under import–>region of interest. Then adjust the top and bottom in the 3D view and you’re done.

But: a simple export function in Matic would prevent the use of third-party apps, giving more functionality.

Hello PIX4D, any news here? Is it so complicated? Please reply! Thanks

Hi @drones6, thanks for insisting, and yes, we are aware of this request. I am glad you found a workaround but this should not be standard procedure. You are definitely not the only one asking for it, and while it’s competing with other features, exporting the region of interest is high on our list, rest assured. Cheers!
