I was flying a Mavic Air on Autonomous Grid mode… half way through a mission, it switched to Manual Mode on its own. Was that a software glitch? Would it continue and complete the mission even though it is now flying on Manual mode? Thank.

The behavior you are experiencing is not common to us. The drone might have activated the safe behavior of the drone such as RTH, a different mode of the controller due to some issue/warning. The mission won’t continue once this safe behavior of the drone is activated.
