Orthoplane of cylindrical fassade

Hello everyone,

i took several 100 pictures of a cylindrical fassade using a DJI Mini 5 Pro drone in orthogonal direction.

Using Pix4DMatic I reconstructed a dense point cloud as well as a mesh.

Now i am trying to have one big unrolled picture of the fassade for damage inspection.

After some research i found that pix4dmatic has an option to make orthoplanes, but only of “non-warped” fassades, is there a way to work around that? I heard that pix4DMapper might have an option to process warped fassades?

Thanks for helping me out here.

Hello,

Both PIX4Dmatic and PIX4Dmapper only support an orthoplane function, which allows for the creation of a single plane. It is not possible to generate an image from multiple directions or combine multiple planes. As a result, you cannot produce a warped image as described.
