Tried again yesterday, Anafi and controller are both 1.8 fully updated. It is now doing one grid line and pivot successfully but gets stuck at the second pivot and stops photography recording as well even though the memory card capacity is ‘ticking down’ still in the drone telemetry.
I will make sure Pix4dCapture is fully updated and will try starting the mission from the air today and report back. I can still perform photogrammetry by manually capturing the dataset but even my smooth hands are much worse than the automated flight plans.
Hello @Kapil_Khanal
I have read the threads about mission upload problems in the iOS version of Pix4Dcapture. After updating all stuff, firmware and app versions to the latest, I’m still facing the same issue. Missions are not uploaded to the Anafi (regular) drone.
Drone firmware: 1.8.0
Controller firmware: 1.8.0
FreeFlight 6 iOS, version 6.7.4
Pix4Dcapture, iOS, version 4.13.1
iPhone 12 mini with iOS 14.4.2
Can you confirm that the issue, initially mentioned in October 2020, still persists?
Do we have any workarounds to get things working on an Anafi drone using the iOS apps?
I was having the same issues as well using ios Iphone. Today I tried changing the default MapBase Provider in the general settings to “apple” instead of “mapbox” the other settings set to default then changed to “apple”. I was then able to upload missions to a Anafi thermal. I have ran 4 successful missions today without any problems.
Hi guys
i have a problem with PIX4Dcapture, few days ago i uploaded the firmware of my Parrot Anafi and after that it doesn’t work. Every time i try to load a mission it fails. Also if i upload a small mission of 5 minutes, the drone do not load the mission, how can i do? the version is the latest one. I tried with another device (actually i use android), but the result is the same.
Hey same here I’m just waiting for the next update to the Anafi or Pix4d capture I’ve basically given up on automated image capture until then. Such a bummer because it was working so flawlessly before the last updates.
Hi, I experienced this issue with Parrot Anafi Thermal:
once I’ve defined the flight plan with the Pix4DCapture app, I’m going to start the mission, all the points in the list are correctely checked in green except one with the the message “Mission not uploaded to drone”, that prevents to start the flight.
The drone is a Parrot Anafi Thermal.
The smartphone is a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro.
I’ve tried to restart the drone;
I’ve tried to wait some minute;
I checked the updates and all are installed: for the drone firmware (1.8.0), Pix4DCapture version (4.11.0), and ctrl+Parrot;
I noticed that I can fly manually without problem with FreeFlight 6;
Pix4DCapture is correctly connected to the drone (I can see battery level and position in the map) but the mission uploading to the drone doesn’t work;
in ctrl+Parrot app the status is always “connecting” and I can’ t see the drone information, maybe this could represent a problem.
Same kind of issue here, after installing Pix4Dcapture last week (Android version), it has become impossible to start flight plans with Parrot FreeFlight6/Free Flight (latest version and previous versions).
Symptoms : In all cases everything looks fine on the FreeFlight6 screen, no error message (nor in the .json file from the drone). Manual flight with FreeFlight6 is still fine, both with the controller and with the smartphone alone. Only issue is that pressing the green arrow button to start the Flight Plan mission hasn’t any effect, the Anafi just hovers without any reaction.
What I tried : I thought there was a conflict between both apps and removed Pix4Dcapture, without success. Then I removed and reinstalled FreeFlight6, I tried with a 2nd smartphone. I also did a reset of the drone. The problem is still the same !
It’s like Pix4Dcapture somehow blocked the Anafi from loading flight plans… I can’t see any other explanation, as everything functionned correctly the previous week, several flight plans with the Parrot app, manual flight, no crash…
I can’t use Pix4Dcapture because it needs a GSM connection and remote log in to start.
My drone is almost useless now… Please inform me of the way to get it to back to normal !
Any update here ? I contacted Parrot, but the drone is just 2 years old, and they won’t even reply to my support resquest !
Now I have their application FreeFlight running behind the scene and triggering battery and resources alarms from Android !??
