When I want to fly my drone in PIX4D Capture, in the ‘Drone Takeoff Checklist’ ‘Mission Upload’ is orange in colour with exclamation mark. Tab it, and ‘Mission Uploading Status Unknown’ is displayed. 3 Suggested tasks displayed. I tried all three but still could not get it right to start the mission.
Please advise what I need to do next?
Thanks
Hi Wah,

Regards,
I have Inspire 1 with Zenmuse XT camera attached. I used Pix4D mapper for iOS with the latest update. I created a flight plan, everything is fine, except mission upload a d camera checking. These two items were not fixed and finally failed. I already set the overlap of 90% and slow speed. So what is wrong?
Hi Arif,
Make sure that the camera model was recognized by the Pix4Dcapture app before planning the mission. To do so, go to app home screen, Settings>>Camera and select the Zenmuse XT from the list and create a new mission.
Also, make sure that there is no connection issue between the camera and the drone. Were you able to capture the images using the DJI GO app?
For optimal experience with Pix4Dcapture, we recommend proceeding with basic checks. This article helps users to troubleshoot app issues in most cases.
It seems very small missions (single or double grid sub 1 hectare) can always be uploaded. However, I often get “mission upload failure” messages to the point where I can’t use the P4DCapture app at all. It’s too flakey to be relied upon. Even double grid 100mts x 100mts areas have failed to the point where I have had to split them into 2, to be successful in loading and flying missions!!! Annoying to say the least.
Is there a “known” limitation on size of single grid missions? If so, please let us all know; ideally in the app itself, and we can limit our mission planning accordingly. THIS IS THE MAIN FAILURE OF THE APP…without real explanation. Highly frustrating.
In P4D Capture, are there any plans to introduce a Flight line direction tool (eg 54o)? I note DD has this.
Reason being if missions fail or multiple smaller missions need to be loaded for a TOTAL of a large area, (due to Mission Upload Failure for just 1 mission) it would insure no wasted extra images or batteries are used. Please advise if this is in the pipeline??
Hi @hginternationalgraph,
The behavior you are describing can’t be replicated on our side. I would suggest you go through all the basic checks and troubleshooting steps as it will solve most of the issues that can be encountered if properly followed.
