Micasense Altum thermal imagery lwir.tif in Arcmap

Hi Folks
Have been working through the functionality of MicaSense Altum and pix4d mapper and after a few days have RGB etc displaying in arcmap. However I am really struggling with the thermal data, it displays in arcmap but I am not sure how to convert it into something meaningful. Do I need to convert to Celsius? Do I just use the lwir or do I combine it with other spectrum datasets?

Could really do with some help as they aren’t cheap are they!!!

Hi,

To convert the LWIR pixel values to degree C for Altum, use the formula: Thermal_ir=(lwir/100)-273.15. Let me know if that works. You can use the Pix4D index calculator and export or use the ArcGIS raster calculator.
