Mesh Export to .slpk Disabled in Version 1.76.1

Hi all,

After updating to version 1.76.1, I noticed that the option to export the mesh to .slpk appears to have been removed. This format has been essential for my workflow, as it preserves both texture and georeferencing while maintaining direct compatibility with the ESRI platform.

Could anyone clarify why this functionality was removed? Are there any plans to reintroduce it in a future update?

Unfortunately, the current export options don’t meet my needs, and I’m now considering downgrading—despite being excited about the other improvements in this release. It’s a bit disappointing to lose such a critical feature.

Thanks in advance for any insights or updates.

Hi Camal,

We encountered a bug in the export of the SLPK in version 1.76 and earlier. Thus, we temporarily disabled the export. However, the SLPK was reintroduced in version 1.77. If you install the latest version, you will have access again.

Ah, I see that now — I hadn’t realized so many versions were released as previews before reaching stable. I’ll give 1.77 or a newer version a try.

Do you think it’s safer to stick with 1.77 for now, since it’s been out longer than 1.80?

Thanks again, Mike! Really appreciate the quick response.

Hi Camal,

I would install 1.80. It should perform as well, if not better, than 1.77. If you have an issue with 1.80, then I would submit a support ticket and we can help out.
