Why can’t people download the trial version of Pix4Dmapper automatically anymore? Is Pix4Dmatic replacing Pix4Dmapper altogether?

PIX4Dmatic is not replacing PIX4Dmapper; rather, it complements it by addressing different needs. PIX4Dmatic is designed for processing large datasets and corridor mapping with more than 5000 images and supports terrestrial workflows with LiDAR and RGB images. PIX4Dmapper, on the other hand, remains a powerful tool for photogrammetric processing and is the default choice for projects with fewer images. Both software products serve as part of a comprehensive photogrammetry suite offered by Pix4D, each with its unique strengths and use cases.
If you have a large-scale project or need to work with extensive datasets, PIX4Dmatic might be the better option. For standard photogrammetry projects, PIX4Dmapper continues to be a reliable choice.
