How to rematch a drone's bank angle value(log data) before mapping starts

Hi,
I wonder how to rematch a drone’s bank(yaw/roll) data before mapping starts.

  • No gimbal
  • We have log data(.BIN)
  • We have geotagging pictures
  • We have drone’s bank(yaw/roll) log data

It was very windy when filming, so it was skewed differently from the set route.
So if I rematch the bank angle value and map it, can I do it in a fixed path?

Hi @mapping01,

Welcome to the Pix4D Community :handshake: .

Yes, you can correct the drone’s bank yaw/roll data before mapping starts. Pix4Dmapper allows you to adjust the orientation parameters of your images. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Open your project in Pix4Dmapper.
  2. Click on the “Project” menu, then select “Image Properties Editor”.
  3. In the “Image Properties Editor” window, you can manually adjust the yaw, pitch, and roll values for each image.

Please note that these adjustments should be made carefully, as incorrect values can negatively impact the accuracy of your results.

For more information on how to use the Image Properties Editor, you can refer to this article:

If you have the drone’s bank yaw/roll log data, you can use this to correct the orientation parameters of your images. However, please note that this requires a good understanding of how these parameters are defined. For more information on how yaw, pitch, and roll are defined, you can refer to this article:

I hope this helps!
