Hey all
I am new to the world of Pix4Dmapper, and while it is been a blast using it for my drone mapping projects, the processing times can get brutal, especially for bigger datasets.
Anyone have any tricks for speeding things up in Pix4Dmapper? Here’s a quick rundown of my setup:
- Machine: Running Pix4Dmapper on a laptop with an Intel i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a GTX 1050 Ti graphics card.
- Image Count: Most projects involve 300-500 images I snag with my DJI Phantom 4 Pro.
- Processing Settings: Been sticking with the defaults so far.
- Open to any and all suggestions! Tweaking settings within Pix4Dmapper, hardware upgrades, alternative workflows – anything that can shave off processing time without sacrificing too much quality would be amazing.
