Generate Dense Point Failed

I’m having an error when trying to generate a dense point cloud. I’m getting the error

“Invalid input: at least one input patch does not reproject onto the selected reference camera.”

I can say the GPU driver is up to date and all the files are on local hard drives to the PC. Also this was done with the Hardware Accelerated pipeline. Any ideas what this error means?

Hello!

Thank you for your message! If possible, could you share your log file, please?

Kind regards,
Alexey

Is there a solution to this problem?

Hello!

Did you encounter the same issue? If possible, could share a log file from the failing project, please?

Thank you and kind regards,
Alexey

I need to restate my answer with a little more clarity. We are running a Threadripper pro with more than 64 cores. I was getting an error in the logs about the CPU core issues. Support recommended I try limiting the amount of cores and threads down to 64 for both and than has seemed to fix the problem for now. It would be nice it Matic had the ability to limit/specify the number or cores and amount of RAM for processing like Mapper does.

I was able to get around the error by moving the location of the inputs photos. Originally all the photos were stored on a hard drive and by moving them to a SSD, I was able to process the project properly.

I than run several more projects with all the inputs photos stored on a SSD and didn’t encounter the error again so I’m reasonably confident that fixed it. Maybe the error has to do with how fast it can pull data from the photos.
