I’ve been using Pix4dMapper with my research group at UC Merced for around 8 or so years and recently got pix4d fields in conjunction with UC Davis to start teaching drone surveying in agriculture. We figured that pix4d fields is a much more intuitive than the older version for multispectral (as well as allowing pan-sharpening for our altum-pt). It processes the data great and very quickly, but we have no way to utilize our fixed GCPs and therefore can not use this for ongoing research projects. Pix4dMapper can’t handle quite as many images as pix4d fields so I’d really like for pix4d fields to support GCPs so we can carry out our research and teach with the latest and greatest. I saw some other messages in the community about GCPs from a few years ago with a mention of an “alignment tool” but I can’t seem to find any info on that.
Would love to get this featured added so we can move forward with our data processing in pix4d fields!
