feature detection bad allocation error

Hello! I am using Pix4Dmapper 4.9.0 to process a small dataset of drone images (80 JPEG files taken by L1D-20c), using 3D Maps template. The computer has plenty of RAM (128 GB, while the images take up 1 GB in total).
This same dataset processes OK at GeoNadir.com, and I was able to process other much larger datasets on my computer in Pix4dmapper without any problems.
However, for these data the processing halts at the Initial Processing stage, it cannot compute keypoints:

I attach the processing log with a few unsuccessful attempts…

What could be the problem?

Thank you,

Olga

Hi ovt20,
While this error can mean many things, I believe Mapper could not generate a sufficient amount of keypoints. Likely due to the image overlap or the quality of the images. Can you attach a few images to this post so we can assess the dataset?

I do not know what the other program is doing. However, making this project work with some changes to the processing settings might be possible.

Dear Mike, thank you for the reply!
The images are too big (16MB each) to be attached here, so I have 12 images on 2 overlapping lines into folder which you hopefully can access:

It looks like you are dealing with heavy vegetation. This can be difficult do to the complex geometry that can move in the wind. Try dropping the image scale under step 1 to 1/2 or even 1/4. This can help with vegetation.

Dear Mike,
Thank you. I have tried all possible scale values, but I still have the same error.
Mysterious!
Olga

Hi ovt20,
Can you upload your latest log file and quality report (if you have one) so we can take a look?
