Hello Pix4D-Team,
currently your documentation states:
To free up the subscription for use on another device, follow these steps:
- Logout from the Device: Log out from the device where the subscription is currently active.
- Wait 12 Hours: After logging out, please allow 12 hours for the subscription to automatically expire on the previous device.
This forces organisations with multiple RTK Device to have just as many Professional licences, even they wouldnt use those at the same time.
As a user I dont understand why I cant use the Professional licence from my organisation if currently nobody needs but was online with it 12 hours ago.
Kind Regards,
Anton S.
I know this is a year old but I had the same questions. So, after a bit of testing while looking at our organizational dashboard, I have found some answers. The Pix4D documentation should be clarified. After logging out of Pix4Dcatch, on whatever device is using a license, the Pix4Dcatch Professional license is released. Otherwise, the license will be released after 12 hours of inactivity. It also looks like it should be possible to free a license from the organizational dashboard but I was unable to do that. It may be because I was tying up a license on a device and I am also the organizational account owner. I might be able to release a users license but I will have to test that later. So, to summarize, Pix4Dcatch licenses are freed after 12 hours of doing nothing or immediately after the user logs out of the Pix4Dcatch app.
