Hi Christian,
A high chance of this issue is related to the internet connection error. Please refer to the following article to find a possible solution:
Error: “Network error: Please check your internet connection. SSL handshake failed”
Please ensure there is no firewall or anti-virus program blocking PIX4Dmapper. You may whitelist PIX4Dmapper for the firewall the anti-virus program if that has not yet been done.
If this does not help, please share with us a log file from one of the projects.
